MehndiPe (“MehndiPe”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) connects customers with independent mehndi (henna) artists for at-home and event bookings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, WhatsApp booking service, and related services (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

By booking a service or messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Contact details: your name, WhatsApp/mobile number, and email address, when you message us or make a booking.
• Booking details: service address, appointment date/time, design preferences, occasion, and any reference images you share with us.
• Conversation data: the messages you exchange with us over WhatsApp, used to process and confirm your booking.
• Payment information: when you pay online, your payment is processed by a third-party payment gateway. We receive confirmation that payment was made and a transaction reference — we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Usage data: basic analytics about how visitors use our website (pages viewed, device type, approximate location, load performance), collected automatically.

• To create, confirm, and manage your mehndi appointment.
• To match you with an available mehndi artist and share the booking details necessary for them to serve you.
• To communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, reminders, and support requests, primarily over WhatsApp.
• To process payments and issue receipts.
• To improve our website and service quality, and to detect and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.

Our booking service runs over WhatsApp using the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is operated by Meta. Messages you send us are processed through Meta’s infrastructure to deliver our Service. Meta’s own privacy practices apply to their handling of this data in addition to ours — see Meta’s WhatsApp Privacy Policy for details on their processing.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• With the mehndi artist assigned to your booking — your name, contact number, address, and appointment details, solely to fulfil your service.
• With service providers who help us operate MehndiPe, such as our payment gateway, cloud hosting/storage, and messaging infrastructure providers, under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons, where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. Access is restricted to personnel and systems that need it to operate the Service. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Our website uses privacy-respecting analytics and performance monitoring tools to understand site usage and improve load times. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies but do not collect content that identifies you personally.

We retain booking and conversation data for as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet our accounting and legal obligations (invoices are typically retained for the period required under Indian tax law). You may request earlier deletion — see Section 9.

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Delete your personal information, subject to records we must legally retain.
• Withdraw consent to future WhatsApp communication at any time by messaging us.

Our Service is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
